Spinal Fractures

Spinal Fractures treatment

A spinal fracture refers to a break or disruption in the bones (vertebrae) of the spine. These fractures can range from minor cracks to severe breaks, and they may occur in different regions of the spine, such as the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), or lumbar (lower back) areas.

Symptoms :

1. Back Pain: Localized pain at the site of the fracture.

2. Deformity:Changes in the normal alignment of the spine.

3. Numbness or Weakness: Depending on the location and severity, nerve involvement may lead to sensory or motor deficits.

4. Difficulty Walking: Impaired mobility, especially in severe fractures.

Causes:

1. Motor Vehicle Accidents: High-impact collisions can cause various types of spinal fractures.

2. Osteoporosis: Weakening of the bones due to loss of bone density.

3. Tumors:Cancerous or benign tumors in or around the spine.

4. Infections:Spinal infections, such as osteomyelitis.
