Scoliosis Treatment

Scoliosis is a medical condition characterized by an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine, often resembling an "S" or "C" shape when viewed from the back. This condition can affect people of all ages, but it typically emerges during the growth spurt just before puberty.

Symptoms :

1. Uneven Shoulders or Hips: One shoulder or hip appearing higher than the other.

2. Asymmetrical Waist:An uneven waistline when bending forward.

3. Prominent Shoulder Blade: One shoulder blade may protrude more than the other.

4. Rotated Spine: The appearance of the spine rotating, causing a rib hump when bending forward.

Causes:

Health care providers often cannot pinpoint the exact cause of the most common type of scoliosis, known as idiopathic scoliosis. However, research suggests a potential link to hereditary factors, as the disorder does sometimes run in families.

1. Spinal cord irregularities.

2. Injuries to or infections of the spine.

3. Previous surgery on the chest wall as a baby.

4. Birth defects affecting the development of the bones of the spine.
