The upper extremity or arm is a functional unit of the upper body. It consists of three sections, the upper arm, forearm, and hand. It extends from the shoulder joint to the fingers and contains 30 bones. It also consists of many nerves, blood vessels (arteries and veins), and muscles.

Symptoms :

1. Arm Pain:Discomfort in the upper or lower arm.

2. Weakness: Reduced strength during gripping or lifting.

3. Numbness or Tingling: Sensations of numbness or "pins and needles."

4. Swelling: Visible inflammation in the arm.

5. Limited Range of Motion: Difficulty moving the arm.

Causes:

1. Fractures:Breaks in the bones of the arm due to trauma.

2. Biceps Tendinitis: Inflammation of the biceps tendon.

3. Brachial Plexus Injuries: Nerve injuries affecting arm and hand movement.

4. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Compression of the median nerve in the wrist.

5. Tennis or Golfer's Elbow (Epicondylitis): Inflammation of tendons on the outer or inner elbow.
